Goal of Frontier Inter-Tribal Youth Council

  • Help our Native community thru service, tutoring/mentoring our younger brothers & sisters, and share our experiences as Native youth with leadership and our peers.

  • To build lasting friendships, partnerships, with the Non-Native community by educating them about our culture and learning about theirs.

  • To help meet the needs of our club and community thru fundraising.

FITYC BYLAWS

Membership

Open to all students @ Frontier HS.

Must sign up.

Meet bi-weekly.

Officers

Must be Native American, (506 ED form on file).

Must be nominated by club members.

Must be elected by club members to serve on academic year basis. 

Nominations and elections held every September.

Must attend officer meetings.

Attend 90% of officers meetings (36 weeks = 32 meetings total)

Cannot miss more than 2 consecutive meetings of either meeting (officer/general)

Executive officers President, VP, Secretary/Treasurer must attend all the general meetings

Complete orientation w/parent. *coming fall 2017

Make a commitment to goals of the club.

Be academically eligible.

Be in good standing with the school.

Must attend 90% of all functions held by the FITYC (illness, death in family, school related activities are excused).

Meetings

Officers will meet weekly.

Club will meets bi-weekly.

No meetings during first/last week of school.

Wednesdays lunch in Indian Education Classroom
