STRATEGIC PLANNING SURVEY - INTRODUCTION

PURPOSE: This survey gives you – the students, employees, parents and community members of Frontier Public Schools – an opportunity to have input and to express your feelings about the school. The Frontier School Board Members and Superintendent are working with the Oklahoma State School Boards Association (OSSBA) to develop a written strategic plan. The members of the board along with the superintendent believe it is important to be proactive in providing excellence in all aspects of the local school. They also believe that the development of a strategic plan will help in accomplishing the goals and expectations that can be achieved in the efforts of planning and being open and responsive to the school and the community.

The results of this survey will be helpful to the OSSBA Facilitator, and to the board and superintendent. Collectively, we say “Thank You” to each of you for your input into this process and for your continued support! While it would be unreasonable to expect each and every suggestion and idea to become a top priority of the written strategic plan, we do assure you that every item from the survey will be reviewed and considered as the plans and goals are being developed.

Once the strategic plan is completed and adopted by the members of the Board of Education, it will be considered as a tool for continuous improvement. The target for completion of the strategic plan is tentatively set for sometime during the fall semester of 2008. (Completion of the Survey responses is targeted to end September 1, 2008)

INSTRUCTIONS: Please complete the survey honestly and with an attitude of community and school spirit that will be helpful and encouraging. If you come to a statement or category that you really do not have enough information to answer it – then feel free to leave it blank rather than guessing. If you have questions about the survey, please go online to the Frontier school website at www.frontierok.com and click on “SURVEY HELP LINK”.

COMPLETE THE SURVEY & SUBMIT IT IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING METHODS:

1. Complete and submit the survey online, at www.frontierok.com – go to “SURVEY.”

2. Complete the survey and deliver it to a “drop-box” at the Frontier School Administration Office.

3. Complete and submit the survey via the US Mail to: Frontier School Survey– OSSBA Facilitator; 24 Northwood Drive; Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804-9545.

You may select any of these options to submit the survey. Please do not include your name, or return address when you submit a survey. The board wants the participants to remain anonymous.
