Pumpkins and a Little Seed Counting!
How many seeds are inside a pumpkin? And which pumpkin has the most?
Those were the questions Mrs. Reed’s 3rd grade class explored as they practiced using the scientific method.
Every good science experiment starts with great questions, and this pumpkin investigation gave students an opportunity to think like scientists while putting their math skills to work. Counting and comparing seeds helped them connect what they’re learning in the classroom to a hands-on activity.
Who knew a pumpkin could hold so many opportunities to learn?
Great job, third graders, for putting your curiosity and counting skills to work! And thank you, Mrs. Reed, for giving your students a fun, innovative, hands-on way to explore science and math.

Fire Safety Comes to Life!
Students welcomed Chief Cody Sullins and members of the Red Rock Volunteer Fire Department for Fire Prevention Day. Firefighters talked with students about the importance of fire safety and prevention. An AirEvac helicopter also landed near the playground, giving students an opportunity to see it up close!
“We are grateful to Chief Sullins and the men and women who volunteer to serve the Red Rock community, to include Frontier senior Gracie Williams, as firefighters,” said Principal Casie Brannon. “Sharing their knowledge with our students is invaluable.”
House fires, electrical hazards, and cooking accidents are everyday risks. Experiences like this help students understand why fire safety matters and give them knowledge they can take home to their families.
Thank you to the Red Rock Volunteer Fire Department and the AirEvac crew for investing your time in our students and making this an unforgettable day of learning!

Meet Our First Mustang MVP!
Today, we launched the Frontier Elementary Mustang MVP Program, recognizing students who show good character, make positive choices, and lend a helping hand to teachers and classmates.
We were honored to recognize fourth grader Cody Forte as our very first Mustang MVP! Cody will wear a special Mustang MVP necklace to celebrate the kindness, responsibility, and willingness to help that earned him this recognition.
This program celebrates the everyday choices that make our school a better place because being a Mustang MVP is about good character!
Congratulations, Cody! Thank you for representing yourself and Frontier Elementary so well. We are proud of you!
