Frontier students recently traveled to the Sam Noble Museum on the University of Oklahoma campus to participate in the 22nd Annual Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair. Competing against schools from across the state, all of our students represented Frontier with pride and excellence. Our high school students, who are members of the Otoe Language classes offered at the high school, competed in the 9th–12th Grade Medium Group Traditional Song Competition and earned an Honorable Mention for their performance. We would like to thank the Otoe Language Department teachers and staff for their continued support and guidance throughout the year. Middle school and elementary students, who traveled with the Otoe-Missouria Youth Program, received multiple first-place honors for both their group traditional song performances and solo performances. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Otoe-Missouria Youth Program for their hard work and dedication to our younger students. It was truly inspiring to see our students perform so well and be recognized for their efforts. We are incredibly proud of all of them for their commitment to preserving Native languages and culture.
