On Monday, Otoe-Missouria tribal member Kennetha Greenwood visited our Otoe-Missouria Language Classes to teach students about the history of Indian Dice, a traditional game once played by their ancestors.
Students not only learned about the cultural significance of the game but also had the chance to play against each other and their teachers. It was a meaningful and fun way to connect with tradition while strengthening their understanding of Otoe-Missouria heritage.

On Saturday, September 6, 2025 a group of Frontier Middle School students gave a powerful performance at the OSSBA Conference in Oklahoma City, singing traditional Otoe-Missouria and Ponca Tribal songs. They proudly represented Frontier Schools, the Otoe-Missouria and Ponca Tribes, and the Otoe-Missouria Youth Program, earning a standing ovation from school board members, administrators, and teachers statewide.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Laura Hall and her team, Tomasita Littlecrow for the beautiful outfits, and Cheryl Lane and Mr. Kauk for making the arrangements. The Frontier School Board also showed incredible support by congratulating each student personally. It was a proud, unforgettable day for the students and the community! ❤️🖤🐎
